The Sniper Elite is a Zudjari marksman equipped with a Plasma Sniper Rifle. These units are especially lethal due to their powerful shots and high accuracy. They also tend to spawn and work alongside Rocket Snipers later on, making for a frighteningly deadly and super annoying combo at the same time.
Thankfully, like Rocket Snipers, these units are not known for their durability, and one will go down in less shots than a standard Outsider grunt. Also, the Plasma Sniper Rifles they drop can prove useful if a large, open field is expected to be just ahead.
Tips & TacticsEdit
- Like Rocket Snipers, Sniper Elites are fragile and cannot withstand a lot of punishment. Bringing a weapon capable of long range precision shots can make really short work of them if one knows where they are. Better yet, bring along a Recon Class agent if these foes are expected to appear.
- Keep an eye out for the green laser sight, and stay clear of it. Sniper Elites usually pause for a bit before firing, which is usually sufficient for an agent to evade or pull off a counter-shot.
Sniper Elites are first encountered during the Not of This Earth story mission.
- The Sniper Elite does not have a "regular" counterpart, unlike the Muton, Outsider and Phantom, just to name a few.
- One can theoretically argue that Rocket Snipers are lesser versions of the Sniper Elite.
