The Rocket Launcher is a Heavy Weapon in XCOM 2. Like all heavy weapons, it can only be mounted on heavy armor.

The Rocket Launcher is the default Heavy Weapon included on armors that can carry them, along with the SPARK's BIT. It fires a rocket directly at an area, exploding and dealing damage to all units in the area. It deals moderate damage, and shreds armor of targets hit. The Rocket Launcher is an all around useful weapon for dealing with crowds of enemies, heavily armored units, or when hit chances are too low.

The Rocket Launcher will damage terrain in the explosion radius, making it useful for destroying enemy cover or making enemies take fall damage from elevated positions.

  • The Rocket Launcher requires both actions to fire, and can only be used once per mission.
  • The Rocket Launcher's new form can be wielded by anyone, provided they deploy with heavy armor.
